Improvements to Cycling Infrastructure in Kingston Town / Portsmouth Road

• There is currently a lack of a proper cycle lane between Kingston Market and the roundabout towards Surbiton. This gap in the network is especially problematic for cyclists who need to cross the road. Extending the cycle lane here would significantly improve safety and connectivity.

• On Portsmouth Road, the existing cycle lane runs very close to heavy traffic. Installing physical separators or buffer zones—such as bollards or raised curbs—would provide much-needed protection, particularly for young or less experienced cyclists.
