Turn waste land on Richmond park road/Acre Road into a pocket park
At the eastern end of Richmond park road at its junction with Acre Road is a patch of unregistered land that is a total mess. Its overgrown, used as a rubbish bin and home to vermin, foxes and the oak tree is infested with Oak Processionary moths.
It would be great to see this land open to public access. Maybe a pocket park with a bench? Possibly an insect hotel? A space that isn't overgrown and messy but tidy and interesting for small children who are passing.
The junction between Richmond park road and acre road is extremely wide and dangerous to cross. Maybe as part of this scheme we could reclaim some of the road space and make this public area even bigger?
Why the contribution is important
We all appreciate more attractive green space. This idea uses an existing green but badly maintained and messy area. Our residents would appreciate this positive change to our environment and given its proximity to local primary schools and nursery's would be a treat for young children passing by. Maybe they would even ask to cross the road to visit!!
