Inadequate Exercise Class the Elderly

There are not enough free exercise classes for older people aged 60 and over in our area.

The Bootcamp at Cambridge Estate Road is only open to those aged 65 and above, but it still has many empty spots. According to the website, only 7 out of 22 places are taken. This seems like a waste of resources that could be used better.

The Tolworth Bootcamp also recently changed its age limit to 65+ even though for the past three years it was open to all seniors.

Raising the age limit has left out many people between 60 and 64 who still need exercise for their health and well-being. These residents are missing out on a valuable service even though they are seniors too.

Please consider lowering the age limit back to 60+ so more older residents can benefit from these free, healthy activities.

Thank you.

Why the contribution is important

Raising the age limit has left out many people between 60 and 64 who still need exercise for their health and well-being. These residents are missing out on a valuable service even though they are seniors too.

Regular exercise improves health and will reduce medical costs in the future.
