RBK Highways to Look at North Parade Traffic Management & Parking Issues

That RBK Highways Department hold a Communication & Consultation Event\Exercise  with Residnets to look at the long outstanding issues of Traffic Management and Parking North Parade Chessington

We are very lucky to have a well used and vibrant Local Shoping Parade in North Parade Chessington.

It has the two vital ingredients for a successful Shopping area i.e. Local Pharmacy and Post Office Counter (albeit the Post Office counter needs to be addressed as not being fit for purpose at this juncture and needs to be given back its previous status i.e.  restored back to a proper fortress type Counter and not just an extra check-out since being taken over by Morrisons).

At peak times vehilces being double parked is not an uncommon site and there is a fight for parking spaces.

We need to have that long requested meeting with RBK Highways to start a dialogue of how we can address these issues going forward looking at possible parking regimes, marking out of parking spaces and possible one - way system making the traffic flow and manouvering safer for pedestrians .

We need to see our RBK Highways Team to be seen to be proactive and taking action, i.e. communicate. consult and meet face to face with  Local Residents Associations and Residnets and be proactive in supporting our Local Businesses and Local Shopping Parades.

We see this project called Talk SOB but sadly the one thing our RBK Highways Team from the Top  Jayne Dando Corporate RBK Head of Highways and Transportation down is talk or communicate with us.
