TFL 467 Bus Route to serve Epsom Hospital on every Trip

At the moment the 467 only stops at Epsom Hospital twice a day and only at School Term Times. We need the 467 to stop at Epaon Hospiatl on every trip.

We only have an hourly bus service from Hook & Chessington to Epsom. We not only need it to serve the Town Centre but also Epaon Hoapital as many of our residents use Epsom Hospital as wellas Kingston

We understand that TFL always said it is too costly  to change a route but we maintain that if the 467  route was put  back to its original route and turn  left at Bridge Road Roundabout and not be in the normally congested outside lane feeding into the Bridge Road Roundabout,  with traffic going south on the A243  ; it would save time and serve the more populate part of the Community stopping at Chessington North Station and North Parade.                                                                       

Garrison Lane is served by the 71 that runs at 8 min intervals so the 467 running at one  an hour will  not be missed. Plus Garrison Lane has parking on one side so the 71 has to keep stopping starting meeting traffic head on so removing the 467 would ease the situation.

The part of the route from the Bridge Road roundabout going South would still be covered by the K4 and 465 Routes.

This saved time could be used to allow the route to be extend to stop at Epsom Hospital on every trip. This would be a great improvement and can be used by residents who are patients or residents visiting the patients. At the moment the 467 only extend to the hospital on 2 occasions a day and then only during term time to serve a school.

It might be worth asking for the data as to how many people use the extended route to Hinchley Wood twice a day. It is possibly this could be ceased if it is hardly or never used and the time gained is also  used to add at the Epsom End  a visit to Epsom Hospital on every run.

I have looked at a  Route\Timetable in the past that shows the preferred route and making the Bus Rest being the existing one at the North Star Hook and outside the Lava Lounge A24 Epsom (Bus drivers can use Toilets in Hospital.

If  I may kindly suggest that you look at this as two separate  requests

1. Extending existing route to Epsom Hospital on every occasion

2. The route runs at 30 minute interval rather than every hour.

Request number 2 would involve an increase in costs and much harder to achieve. If you were successful in getting request No 1 then I am sure  the usage would go up and then this would help your case for request number 2.

Also I believe that the William Bourne a very popular Inn and just undergone extensive renovations  is not served by a Bus stop and suggest a new stop. We should try and do what we can for the struggling hospitality Sector.

Also I believe the 467 now goes around the back of the High Street by the station and misses out the High Street Clock Tower Stop heavily used by passengers  coming out of the main Ashely Shopping Centre with bags of shopping.

Our new London assembly Member Gareth Roberts has kinldy taken up this issue on our behalf so it may be worth touching bas with him.
