Berrylands Road parade improvements

Berrylands Road has a small parade of shops but it is not user friendly. There are no pedestrian crossing points, a lack of bins, no cycle lane, speeding cars and unwelcoming ambience in general.

To support this local hub and encourage footfall, the area should be made pedestrian and cyclist friendly.

Safe crossing points, traffic calming of some sort (not speed bumps) would both encourage users.

Why the contribution is important

This area is a local hub and deserves the focus that other local hubs get to attract footfall.

I agree that the Parade needs improvement such as a PEDESTRIAN CROSSING and raised SPEED PILLOWS Like those in King Charles road which are effective but not harsh on vehicles and occupants.
The Shop fronts of the Londis shop and the Chinese take away shop are in very poor condition and need refurbishment to make them more attractive to customers.
The parking meters should be changed to allow free short term parking of say 30 minutes to attract more shoppers.
