Mixed use Co-working and collaboration space.
Part cultural with books and events and one side child friendly. Events to include talks and topics hosted by local residents. Also can be hired out.
Other side Co-working spaces, renting a desk or private booth hourly, storage and near to the station. Shower facilities and bike storage. Needs enough capacity / not tokenistic.
Connected by social coffee shop/restaurant. Possibility for kitchen hire/ catering.
Ideal space is where wags and tails used to be.
Why the contribution is important
Social hub on the high street. Bringing different members of the community together. Family inclusive.
Ensuring professionals can collaborate locally and encouraging businesses locally and more parents to be able to work flexibly. Also encouraging those not working to have a space to visit reducing loneliness and improving mental health, including older adults.
Talks run by the community could include for example parenting classes, history of art, politics, mindfulness etc. etc. Exhibitions of local art work including frolic the local schools.
