Splash pad for kids Alexandra Rec/ Victoria Rec

A splashpad for children to use during the summer. There is plenty of space for this at Alexandra Rec - something similar to facilities at Wimbledon Park or Hersham.

Why the contribution is important

We have no facility like this for children in the borough. Given we have no swimming pool either as  The Kingfisher has been closed for five years, water facilities for children to enjoy and develop water confidence are really important and would provide free amusement/extended day out at the park in summer at no cost to families.

The water fountains in Kingston marketplace are popular but children should be able to access a water facility within a safer, green space.

    Yes would be great. Both playgrounds are very hot during the summer so an area to cool off would be brilliant

    Just to tap on to this idea, the location is very well-placed and families (including mine) would literally stream to the facility in the summer.

    Barnes Vine Road Park has a similar facility too.
