Tolworth Re-development

The whole area between Tolworth Broadway and Ewell Road should be redeveloped.  From the rear of the Tesco petrol station and Headmasters' HQ, to the car park at M&S is run down, dirty, rodent infested and poorly maintained/used.

The development would also need to improve on the car parking available at M&S to allow people to easily stop off on their way out of Kingston.  How about making it a park and ride too?

Building new tower blocks might help the developers but the rest of the area should be included in any development.  It is prime real estate for combining a community area with shops, cafe's and community spaces such as the library.  Why not create a place for boutique shops and pop-ups - somewhere for the Kingston community to try out new business ideas?  Why not create a destination that helps the community but doesn't conflict with the big chains funding Kingston town centre.  It should also attract more people into Tolworth Broadway which would help justify the Greenway.

The council need to have much more ambition for areas outside of Kingston.  New Malden is being developed well but Tolworth just seems to get more and more blocks of flats.  It's no wonder that the Tower remains empty.
