Trees on Ewell Road near shops

On Ewell Road the row of shops (around Sainsbury local) have no trees or plantation. It looks absolutely awful. As we all know greenery not only looks better but makes people feel better, we should have as much greenery where we can, it's not good enough having allocated 'green spaces'. Surbiton is not located in Central London but yet one gets the feel of Central London particularly as there is so much more building going on.
I go to Ealing on a regular basis and they have beautiful trees everywhere including on the high street, why can't Kingston do the same?

1. It improves everyone's mental being with having more greenery.
2. Makes the borough of Kingston more appealing and nicer to live in.
3.. With so much building being done having the greenery will keep a 'villagey' feel.

4. Noise reduction 

5. generally better for the climate.
